Air Control Products is looking for a dedicated, hardworking, and efficient self-starter for our Human Resources/Executive Assistant Role!

We are a 43-year-old HVAC and Architectural manufacturer’s representative firm. We brand and sell the highest quality and most innovative products in commercial HVAC to Ohio’s construction industry.

HR Coordinator will organize, coordinate and carry out HR projects and processes to fulfill tasks associated with hiring, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and training.  Additionally, assist in party and special event planning.  The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail orientated, very computer literate and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  The candidate also must be very personable and approachable.

Responsibilities:

  • Organizational staffing, including drafting of position descriptions; placement of ads and job postings; updating openings on our company website; initial screening and scheduling of interviews; following up with candidates, and creating offer letters
  • Administering the Drug and Safety Program, and scheduling pre-employment drug screens as needed
  • Assist in developing training programs aligning with organizational need
  • Ensuring performance appraisals are completed for all employees annually, and rolling out a standard performance appraisal process
  • Onboarding of new hires to include coordination and enrollment in all benefit programs and new hire paperwork such as employment agreements, and updating HRIS
  • Managing the disciplinary process
  • Responsible for bi-weekly payroll for all employees
  • Updating and maintaining handbook to include changes to employment law
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance with Federal and State law
  • Assist with special event planning and company parties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
  • SHRM CP/SCP preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources related profession
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Ability to interpret and administer company policies
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • High level of integrity
