Architectural Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Architectural Operations Manager will assist with planning, organizing, and directing all resources (work team, materials, and subcontractors) for the successful execution of Architectural Division projects. The successful candidate will support the team’s projects, ensuring quality, scheduling, billing, quote follow-up, project tracking, new order processing, database entry, safety and customer satisfaction is achieved. They will serve as the primary point of contact for each project once a contract is received. This role will also handle inbound service sales, contracts, and requests, and delegate them to the proper parties.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with a variety of personalities and be an excellent communicator. Candidates should possess a proactive mindset while being task and detail-oriented. Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to work under tight time constraints effectively is a must.
Essential Functions
- Plans, organizes, and directs all resources for the successful execution of projects.
- Focuses team efforts on quality, timeliness, and high customer satisfaction.
- Reviews and refines current division processes and procedures and updates as needed.
- Serves as primary point of contact for projects once a contract is received.
- Manages financial aspects of projects, ensuring precise planning, communication, and monitoring throughout in collaboration with the sales team.
- Communicates with General Contractors, subcontractors, and all necessary parties regarding job status, prepares schedules accordingly, and troubleshoots as needed.
- Schedules and dispatches subcontractors, ensuring project completion is timely and on budget.
- Handles all inbound service sales and requests and designates to proper parties.
- Maintains accurate records in Acumatica for all jobs.
- Research proposals, blueprints, and any related documents to perform take-offs which includes, identifying labor, material, costs, and time requirements.
- Possesses in depth product and manufacturer knowledge.
- Ensures the team follows all company procedures and policies.
- Provides detailed reports to management as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Competencies or Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of project management experience in a construction-based industry.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Driven, reliable, self-managed individual with excessive attention to detail.
- Dedication to providing great customer service and customer relationship management.
- Ability to problem solve and adapt to meet the needs of our customers and team in a timely manner.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organization and time management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs without assistance.
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for several hours at a time.
- Ability to work in hot, cold and/or loud environments effectively.
- Ability to squat, kneel, lift, push and bend.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Travel
Travel to job sites may be required as needed.
