Greenheck Vektor Fans – Kenyon College

Kenyon College (Gambier, OH) recently added eight new Greenheck Vektor fans as part of a lab renovation project. Air Control Products worked with the project’s contractor and helped recommend the unique lab environment solution.

Shown above, there are five Greenheck Vektor-H fans and three Vektor-MD fans. The Vektor-H offers a conical, high-velocity nozzle, which allows a higher discharge height above the roof. The Vektor-MD offers a unique nozzle that entrains additional ambient air. This reduces exhaust contaminant concentration. The ambient air also increases the nozzle mass flow and velocity, which increases the nozzle’s discharge momentum. In turn, this increases plume height.

Here are some more specifics regarding the Greenheck Vektor-H:

The Vektor-H uses a belt-driven, tubular centrifugal fan and an efficient conical nozzle to help propel fumes to a safe distance away from the building. Each can be configured in single, double, or triple fan systems.
