Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center – Wooster, Ohio

The Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC)  is a new 60,000 square foot laboratory facility at the OSU Wooster CFAES (College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences) campus.

It is home to three floors of teaching and research lab space, including four entomology research labs, a bug zoo, and two undergraduate chemistry teaching labs. Each lab space is furnished with an Antec Controls laboratory airflow control system, utilizing VFX high accuracy terminals for room pressurization and fume hood face velocity control.

Energy conservation was of top concern in building design. Utilizing a high-accuracy terminal lab control system allowed for top control and lab safety performance while decreasing supply, exhaust system static pressure requirements, and decreasing energy expenditure.
