Greens, Grills, and Giveaways: A Shotgun Start with SMACNA in Hudson.

Some workdays happen at a desk. Better ones happen on a fairway.

Yesterday, ACP joined SMACNA and a fantastic lineup of sponsors for an all-day golf outing at The Country Club of Hudson, and the course did not disappoint. Rolling greens, good company, and a noon shotgun start that sent carts scattering in every direction.

Lunch, On Us.

Before anyone teed off, ACP had one job: make sure nobody teed off hungry. We sponsored lunch, and the spread delivered. Grilled chicken that earned its own compliments, plus hot dogs and hamburgers hot off the grill. We can’t fix a slice, and we saw plenty, but nobody played hungry.

The Place to Be: Hole 7

If you found yourself at hole 7, you found us. ACP set up camp with a tent, cold drinks, and a table full of swag for anyone smart enough to slow down on their way through. T-shirts, tees, cups, and a few other goodies made the rounds, and plenty of golfers left a little more hydrated and ACP-branded than they arrived.

We were not flying solo out there, either. Price Industries joined us at the tent, and Evan Crawley came out for the day. If you know Evan, you know he brings good energy everywhere he goes, and yesterday was no exception. Price also invested in giveaway items for the event, and we want to make sure that generosity gets the shoutout it deserves.

Evan Crawley (Price) and John Popely (ACP’s Director of Business Development) even got a photo op in between visits from foursomes.

Thank You!

A huge thank you to Price Industries and to Evan for showing up for us and for this event. Partners who invest in the industry, and the people in it, are the kind we are proud to represent.

Thank you as well to The Country Club of Hudson for hosting a first-class day, and to SMACNA for bringing everyone together.

Events like this are a good reminder of why SMACNA matters. The association traces its roots back more than a century, and since 1943 it has connected sheet metal and HVAC contractors across the country, setting the technical standards the entire construction industry builds by. When a duct system goes together right, there is a good chance a SMACNA standard and a skilled sheet metal worker are the reason why.

That hits close to home for us. ACP has been part of the Northeast Ohio HVAC community since 1975, and the sheet metal trade has been woven into our work from day one. Supporting this event is one small way we get to give back to the people who make our industry go.

And to everyone who swung by hole 7 for a cold brew, a t-shirt, a sleeve of tees, or just a quick hello: thanks for making our corner of the course the fun one. We will see you at the next outing.
