What is your current position and role at Air Control Products?
Application Engineer —I am responsible for specifying products to fit the needs of engineers and contractors. As well as educating engineers on these products and manufacturer updates. Long story short, HVAC Influencer.

How long have you been with ACP, and what other roles have you worked in if any since you started?
I have been with ACP for a year and a half. This coming May, I will graduate from The University of Akron with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and step into my full time position, Application Engineer.

What brought you to Air Control Products, and what was it about ACP that made you to join our team?
Initially what brought me to ACP, was my cousin, Sean Lacey, who also is a part of the engineering team. He always spoke so highly of ACP and when it was my turn to start looking for jobs, I knew I had to at least give it a shot. After speaking with Mike Greene and Rob Laneve for the first time, I ultimately knew this was the place I needed to start my career. Mike Greene, creates a great atmosphere- and that’s coming from a 22 year old girl! Time and time again, he proves why it is best to work for a family-owned company. Having Rob Laneve as a mentor, is something that I could truly never be thankful enough for. Working with the outstanding individuals at ACP is what drew me here and is what has kept me here.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part about my job is establishing relationships with new people. I truly love this industry because it is a people business. I also enjoy the variety of tasks; no day is too similar to the day before!

What are your hobbies – what do you do when not at work?
I enjoy going to the gym and working out, a healthy lifestyle is ultimately the goal. I enjoy spending time with my family, who lives in the Cleveland area and soaking up the college life before it comes to an end!

Do you have a favorite family tradition?
My favorite family tradition is our Christmas Eve celebration, every Christmas Eve my family heads down to our neighbors, who we now consider our second family after all the years, and we celebrate the night together. We eat, play fun games, and tell stories of past years until it is time to head to bed and wait for Santa to come the next morning!
