What is your current position and role at Air Control Products?
I am an Inside Sales Representative and am responsible for facilitating relationships with new customers and managing previously established relationships with existing customers.
How long have you been with ACP, and what other roles have you worked in if any since you started?
I have been with ACP for 2 years and have been in inside sales since I started here. I was lucky to be surrounded by years of industry knowledge that helped make transitioning into a new industry much easier.
What brought you to Air Control Products, and what was it about ACP that made you to join our team?
I was looking for a new start in a different industry and the HVAC industry piqued my interest initially. After having an interview and meeting the team, I knew that this was the place for me. They made it very clear that taking care of their employees and customers was a top priority. ACP takes pride in hiring the best people to create a team-oriented and collaborative environment and representing the best manufacturers in the industry to make doing business easy both as an employee, and for our customers. All these things were important to me when I was seeking a new role, and I was glad to find it all in one place.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is the people I get to work with. My coworkers, our customers, and our manufacturers are all top-notch and make coming to work enjoyable. I have coworkers who have been in the industry for quite a while, some for 30+ years, so it is great having so much knowledge to lean on if needed. We also have a great group of customers that I have had the pleasure of building strong relationships with over the past couple years. On top of that, we have the best in the business when it comes to manufacturers. I take pride in selling top-of-the-line products and working with companies who value taking care of our customers just as much as ACP does.
What are your hobbies – what do you do when not at work?
Oh boy… Well when I am not working, you can find me working on old cars (specifically, my 1956 Chevy wagon), golfing, or competing in the Scottish Highland Games! (I.E. throwing trees and rocks in a kilt, what I am most known for around the office). I also love spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, running, etc., and watching live music and collecting vinyl. Needless to say, I like to stay busy.
Do you have a favorite family tradition?
My family has a lot of traditions but my two favorites are making “hard tack candy” to pass out to friends and family around the holidays, or getting everyone together to do fondue on New Years Eve.
